Configuration

Configure your documentation site settings.

Accessing Settings

All WPDocs configuration is managed through the plugin’s own settings page — not the WordPress Customizer. Navigate to:

WPDocs → Settings

You’ll find settings organized into seven tabs:

Tab What it controls
General Site title, logos (light & dark), search toggle
Appearance Primary color, dark mode toggle (Premium)
Sidebar Section management, section icons (Premium)
Content Table of Contents “On this page” sidebar (Premium)
Header Social icons, version dropdown (Premium)
Footer Footer text, credit removal (Premium)
License Activate or deactivate your premium license

Logos

WPDocs supports separate logos for light and dark modes. Both are configured in the General tab:

  • Logo (Light Mode) — displayed on white/light backgrounds
  • Logo (Dark Mode) — displayed when dark theme is active. Leave empty to reuse the light logo.

Recommended logo specs: 32px height, transparent PNG or SVG format. The logo appears at the top of the left sidebar.

Search

Built-in AJAX search is enabled by default. When a visitor types 2+ characters in the search box, results appear instantly in a dropdown. Search covers all published documentation page titles.

To disable search, uncheck “Show Search” in the General tab.

Saving

All settings save via AJAX — click Save Settings and you’ll see a “Saved!” confirmation without page reload. Changes take effect immediately on the frontend.
